'We will not sit quietly', Junior NTR lashes out at Konda Surekha for commenting on Samantha-Naga Chaitanya's divorce
Telangana minister Konda Surekha's comment on Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's divorce is making headlines. After the reaction of the ex-couple, now Devara star Junior NTR has also commented on Surekha's statement. He has expressed his displeasure over Surekha's comment.
Recently, Minister Konda Surekha commented on the divorce of the power couple of the South film industry, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. She said that Samantha and Chaitanya's divorce happened because of BRS President KT Rama Rao.
Konda Surekha's statement caused a stir in the political and film worlds. Naga Chaitanya, who will soon be a groom for the second time, expressed his displeasure with the statement, as did Samantha. Junior NTR, who stars in Devara, has now expressed his displeasure with Surekha's statement.
On October 3, Junior NTR shared a post on Twitter slamming Minister Surekha, which read, "Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy. It’s disheartening to see baseless statements thrown around carelessly, especially about the film industry. We will not sit quietly while others make baseless allegations against us. We should rise above this and maintain respect for each other’s boundaries. Let’s ensure our society does not normalize such reckless behavior in democratic India."
These days, Junior NTR is seen in the movie Devra Part 1 with Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Devra, which was released in theatres, is doing wonders at the box office.
