Vivek Agnihotri: 'Looters-hungry people are waiting to rob', director's blunt statement on protests against Sheikh Hasina
Vivek further wrote, "This will never happen. The rest of the crowd is for entertainment. People like to sit in such a room and watch revolutions. A good break from Netflix. The sad story of the modern world is that in any rebellion, old statues are demolished, but there is no one to build new statues."
On August 5, 2024, Sheikh Hasina will resign from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh and go to India. Thousands of people have taken to the streets against Hasina. Reacting to this, Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri claimed that the protesters are neither 'students nor revolutionaries.' The director has shared his views on this by sharing a notice on his social media handle.
Sharing the video on Instagram, he wrote, "Sorry media, but all the crowds on the streets of Bangladesh are neither students nor revolutionaries. Many of them are hooligans and hungry people, who are looking to loot something. Most revolutions fail because many so-called revolutionaries are actually poor and hungry people who believe that their lives will change after the revolution." Vivek further wrote, "This will never happen. The rest of the crowd is for entertainment. People like to watch revolutions sitting in such a room. A good break from Netflix. The sad story of the modern world is that in any rebellion, old statues are demolished, but there is no one to build new statues." Vivek's fans are also supporting this post. One user wrote, 'All this is very dangerous.' Another user wrote, 'Vivek ji, they are the common people of Bangladesh and are protesting.' Another user wrote, 'Aandolan has to be done only out of compulsion.'
Meanwhile, after Sheikh Hasina resigned on Monday, thousands of Bangladeshi protesters broke into her residence and looted her personal belongings. After stepping down from the post of Bangladesh Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina landed in Delhi on Monday evening at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, where she met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
