Veteran Malayalam actor TP Madhavan dies at the age of 88
TP Madhavan: Famous Malayalam film actor TP Madhavan died today on Wednesday, October 9 at the age of 88 in a private hospital in Kollam. His last rites will be performed tomorrow.
TP Madhavan, the famous Malayalam film actor of 88 years old died today (October 9, Wednesday). He has his last breathe at a private hospital in Kollam. As per Amar Ujala, due to stomach-related diseases, he was on a ventilator. His last rites will be performed tomorrow (October 10, Thursday) at Shanti Kavadam in Thiruvananthapuram.
TP Madhavan has a son Raja Krishna Menon and daughter Devika in his family. He spent his days in Gandhi Bhavan in Pathanapuram. Madhavan ended his acting career after being diagnosed with amnesia a few years ago. Since 2015, he was also undergoing treatment for stroke.
The report presents that TP Madhavan was the son of the famous professor NP Pillai, a master's degree holder in Sociology. Prior to entering the acting profession, he ran an advertisement business both in Kolkata and Mumbai. This actor began acting at the age of 40. His first venture film was titled Ragam in the year 1975. He worked in over 600 films during his illustrious career. Madhavan started his career as a villain but then he moved into comic roles and became very famous with his outstanding acting.
Apart from that, before the amnesiac attacks, TP Madhavan acted in several television serials. He was bestowed with the Prem Nazir and Ramu Karyat award for his services to Indian cinema. TP Madhavan has also been chosen for the Indian Army. But he later had to withdraw the decision because of a fracture that befell his hand. Other than acting, the veteran actor also served as the first general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists or otherwise referred to as AMMA.
