Troubles of the accused lawyer who threatened Shahrukh Khan increased, the court extended the police remand

A new update has come in the case of threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. The Mumbai court has extended the police custody of the accused lawyer. The court on Thursday sent the accused lawyer to police custody till November 18. The accused was detained in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on November 12 for threatening Shahrukh Khan.

A transit remand of the accused was obtained by the police from a Chhattisgarh court before he was brought to Mumbai. The police produced the accused before a Bandra court on Thursday and sought his seven-day remand to investigate the matter. Amit Mishra and Sunil Mishra, appearing for the accused, said Faizan Khan's phone was stolen before the alleged incident.

He claimed that the threatening call made from his phone was a conspiracy against him, as he had earlier complained to the Mumbai Police against Shah Rukh Khan over a dialogue in his film 'Anjaam' regarding deer hunting. After hearing both sides, he was sent to police custody till November 18 by the court.

Shah Rukh has always remained on the underworld's hit list. Earlier also, he has been threatened with death on several occasions throughout his career. In October last year as well, after the success of 'Pathan' and 'Jawaan' films, he received death threats. Regarding this, the superstar had lodged a written complaint with the Maharashtra Police, after which he was given Y plus security.

Last year, famous director Sanjay Gupta praised Shah Rukh in a tweet on social media. He had said, 'In the 90s, Shah Rukh was the only actor who did not bow down to the underworld. He said that if you want to shoot, then kill, but I will not work for you. I am Pathan. Shah Rukh is the same even today.'
