For actress Tanvi Shewale, friends mean a lot. The actress, who plays the role of Roshni in Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that both her on screen character and as well as she herself, share a great bond with the rest of the team and characters.
“Friendship is incredibly important to me. It’s a happy place in my life. Even off-screen, Roshni has a strong bond with Vidya. I believe Roshni values deep friendships, and it plays a significant role in her life because Vidya knows her inside out. Roshni confides in Vidya, sharing her deepest secrets, which shows the trust and importance of their friendship,” she says.
She adds, “As for myself, I don’t have just one best friend, but a few close friends from college with whom I’ve been close for the past six to seven years. Our bond has only grown stronger over time. My closest friends are Shraddha and Sarvesh. We’re like a trio, always together no matter what happens.”
Ask her which qualities does she value most in her friends, and she says, “When it comes to qualities I value in friendship, the support my friends provide stands out the most. No matter what I’m going through, they’re always there to motivate me if I’m feeling down. This support is what I cherish the most. Even if we don’t talk frequently, they are always there for me, and I do the same for them. It can be challenging to meet up regularly due to our busy schedules, but I make it a point to catch up whenever I have some time off. We stay connected through our group chat, which helps maintain our bond.”
She adds, “On set, everyone feels like family. There’s a great vibe, and we all have a lot of fun, especially during family scenes. The bond we share off-screen makes working together even more enjoyable. Comparing my character’s friendships in the show to my real-life friendships, there are many similarities. Just like Roshni and Vidya, my friends know me inside out and support me while also being honest about what’s right and wrong. This honesty and support are common in both my on-screen and off-screen friendships. My friends have played a crucial role in my journey. Even when I wasn’t actively auditioning and was focused on theatre, they believed in me. They knew I would make it in the industry, and their faith in me kept me motivated. It’s vital to have friends who genuinely support your growth, both personally and professionally. They’ve always been there to offer honest advice, help with problems, and provide a shoulder to lean on. I’m truly grateful to have such amazing friends in my life.”
