Subhash Ghai revealed about new producers, people sitting in the studio are earning money among themselves

Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai had worries regarding the current situation of Bollywood and the budget of the films etc. He expressed that the budget of the film is exaggerated. He also expressed that 70% of the budget for current-day films is paid to the actors. The producer added that his aim was to make good films.

Recently director Subhash Ghai appeared on Komal Nahta's podcast, in which the director explained the budget of the movie and the producer. As explained by Subhash, now people attempt to make big-budget movies, 90% of which is being used to earn money. Today there are a lot of departments in the industry and everyone is working on an agenda of his/her own. No one is making a movie within a limited budget. Discussing his days, he explained that he used to attempt to make good movies, which had a low budget. The director also explained that he used to give only 10-15% of the budget to the stars. Today, 70% of the money is being taken home by the artist.

Subhash Ghai said that he started the production house to bring discipline. Subhash said that he made a total of 43 films, but not a single film went beyond the budget. He also made a profit in this, because the financial management was good. He says that films were like God for him because only if the films are successful, you will become God. Nowadays people are busy only with earning money, they do not care about the success of the films. He also said that today actors are becoming new producers, they lack both the art and business of filmmaking. Due to this, the quality of films is declining.

After starting his career as an actor, Subhash Ghai tried his hand at directing. Ghai directed many films, some of which proved to be superhits. Those films are, 'Aitraaz', 'Iqbal', 'China Town', 'Apna Apna Money Money', etc.
