Former Bollywood actress Somy Ali spent 20 years looking for film actor Raj Kiran. Somy Ali revealed that she had promised the late actor Rishi Kapoor that she would never stop looking for actor Raj Kiran.
Raj Kiran made his debut with Sarika in 1975 with the film “Kagaz Ki Naav”. He gained fame with his work in films like ‘Shiksha’, ‘Maan Abhimaan’, ‘Ek Naya Rishta’, ‘Karz’, ‘Basera’, ‘Arth’ and ‘Raj Tilak’. He made his television debut in 1994 with the TV series “Reporter”.
Somy Ali shared a video on her Instagram account. Along with the video, she also wrote a post. In the post, Somy Ali wrote that I promised the late Rishi Kapoor that I would never stop looking for actor Raj Kiran.
For 20 years, I tried to trace him, went to many states on my own expenditure, and many times borrowed from Mother. So Chintu may rest in peace, and I would have kept my promise.
The former actress requested everyone to inbox her if anybody knew about Raj Kiran. Raj Kiran has acted in more than 100 films during the 1990s. But, when his career came to a standstill, the actor went into depression and faced many domestic troubles.
He was then admitted to a mental hospital in Mumbai. In later times, rumors spread that he was living all alone in America. Many Bollywood celebrities tried looking for the actor, including Deepti Naval and Rishi Kapoor.
The actress even attempted to trace the actor through social networking sites, and the late iconic star also called Raj Kiran's brother Govind Mahtani in 2011 and informed her that the missing actor was admitted to a mental hospital in Atlanta.
However, she was not provided with much information. The daughter of Raj Kiran issued a statement generally denying the reports of the actor found in Atlanta and further revealed that his family is trying to find him with the aid of the New York police.
