Kumar Sanu's voice made the 90s even more special for music lovers. His old classic songs like Chura Ke Dil Mera, Do Dil Mil Rahe Hain, Chori Chori Jab Nazrein Mili, and others are still very much liked. His latest song was 'Dard Karaara' from the 2015 film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Apart from this, his voice was also recreated in the song Aankh Maare from the film 'Simba'.

When the actor was asked why we do not listen to his songs much these days. The actor responded emotionally to this. Talking to the Hindustan Times, he said, "My journey has been very good so far, everyone in the industry respects me. But the biggest thing is that people respect me. They also give love and listen to my songs but I don't know why they are not using my voice for more songs in Hindi films."

Kumar Sanu further said, "When I am in front, everyone shows so much love. I don't know if it is real or fake. Whatever it is right now, I got a lot of respect from the industry."

Earlier, in a conversation with a portal, Sonu Da had discussed why only a few singers were able to maintain a monopoly in playback singing while upcoming singers constantly struggled for it. The singer said, "Today there are many singers but sadly they all sing in the same way." You can't blame him because he is working on the composition, genre, and style. That's why the listeners feel that one singer is singing all the songs. There is no doubt that they are all talented, but sadly they have no individuality."
