Singer Alok Singh is bringing back the 90s romance with his song Rang Ishq Da. He adds that the song is sure to make you nostalgic.
“We shot it in a place called Tallan, between Chandigarh and Jalandhar, because we found the exact location we wanted there. Our team worked very hard to depict it the way we envisioned. Since we are 90s kids, romance was portrayed in a certain way back then. That's why we shot it very simply and elegantly so that everyone can connect with the song and the video and feel like, ‘This is me’,” he says.
Talking about his journey, he says that it’s been one that has been driven by his passion for music. “I come from a very small district called Kushinagar Ramkola. My father is a government officer, and I have been singing since my childhood you could say I have had a passion for singing since then. I went to military school where I also sang a lot, so I realised that the military was not for me. Then someone suggested I come to Mumbai and learn music. I learned music from Suresh Wadekar's academy, Ajiwasan, and after that, I learned music from Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan’s son, Qadar Mustafa. Now, I am learning from Chandreyee Bhattacharya, so this learning process continues and will keep going.”
