Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave an update about Love & War, said the film is not a copy of Sangam
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is bringing Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. This film is going to be very different from the rest of his films. It will be a love triangle. With this film, Bhansali is going to work with Ranbir Kapoor after almost 18 years. Now recently he shared some updates about the film.

Meanwhile, there was news doing rounds sometime back that Bhansali's Love & War is a remake of the 1964 Raj Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar and Vaijayanti Mala starrer film Sangam. Now Bhansali has put a stop to all these rumors.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali told The Hollywood Reporter India, "Love & War is not a remake of any film. You can't remake Sholay or Mother India, so why would I remake Sangam? It's a very special movie."
He said the film would not have big grand sets or costumes, unlike other films. He said, "This is a very special film because it is not a historical period film. There are no big pillars, no costumes, no horses, etc. It is different, its music is also different." He added he was enjoying making the film. On Ranbir, Bhansali said he was working with him after 18 years.
Bhansali says since it is a difficult film, he will make Love & War slowly and stitch by stitch. The film will release in theatres on March 20, 2026.
