This has brought to light many stunning cases of sexual harassment, exploitation, and misbehavior with women. Some were molested on the sets of a film and some were misbehaved with by luring them with a movie at the beginning of their career. It has even been said that the Malayalam film industry runs at the behest of 10 to 15 male producers, directors, and actors. Now Samantha Ruth Prabhu's statement has come in this matter.
Samatha has welcomed the report of the Hema Committee. While appreciating the effort of the Women in Cinema Collective, she has made an appeal to the Telangana government. Actually, the actress has appealed to the Telangana government to submit a sub-committee report on cases of sexual harassment in the Telugu film industry.
The actress wrote on social media, "We women of the Telugu film industry welcome the report of the Hema Committee and appreciate the efforts of the WCC in Kerala, which paved the way for the disclosure of these incidents. Taking a hint from the WCC, The Voice of Women, a helpline group for women in TFI (Telugu film industry) was formed in 2019. We appeal to the Telangana government to publish the report of the sub-committee presented on sexual harassment, which can help the government to create a safe environment for women and implement the policy.
