Ranveer Allahbadia: Ranveer Allahbadia is in the news for the 'India's Got Latent' controversy and now he appeared before the Guwahati Crime Branch in this case, where he was questioned for several hours.

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia was interrogated by Guwahati Police on Friday. Ranveer was interrogated in connection with a case filed due to controversy over his offending remarks in the show 'India's Got Latent'. Ranveer Allahbadia had been present in Mumbai city on Thursday night. He came in front of Crime Branch today and was interrogated for hours. He had a lawyer with him.
Joint Commissioner Ankur Jain questioned Ranveer Allahbadia. After the interrogation, Ankur Jain told reporters, 'He reached the Crime Branch office at around 12.30 pm and the interrogation continued for more than four hours. He cooperated with the police and answered all our questions. He has assured the police of cooperating in the future as well and will come to Guwahati whenever he is called for the case. This is an ongoing investigation and four more people are yet to appear. Three participants of the show, who have not appeared before us, have sent us emails that they are out of the country. We will send them notices again and take action accordingly.'
He said that along with the five YouTubers, the owner of the place where the show was shot has also been named in the FIR. Ranveer had made obscene and indecent remarks on the sexual relations of a contestant on Samay Raina's show 'India's Got Latent', after which controversy arose and several cases were registered against him across the country. However, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail from arrest but termed his comments as obscene and said that he has a dirty mind, which shames the society.
On February 27, Guwahati Police questioned another YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani in the case. The Gauhati High Court had granted interim bail to Chanchlani on February 18. The Guwahati police registered the case on February 10 under the Indian Justice Union, IT Act, Cinematograph Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. Apart from Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, the other accused named in the case were YouTuber comedians Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija.
