Ranveer Allahbadia accused of not cooperating, cyber police can take legal action
Ranveer Allahbadia: Maharashtra Cyber Cell can take legal action against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. According to reports, the cyber cell had issued summons to Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer, and Apoorva Mukhija for questioning.

Ranveer Allahbadia's controversy over his remark on 'India's Got Latent' has not yet faded. Following the controversy, Ranveer and Apoorva Mukhija had just returned from social media and now there are reports that Maharashtra Cyber Cell can proceed with legal action against the YouTuber. It has come according to reports that the cyber cell had served a summons to Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Apoorva Mukhija for questioning.
Samay and Ashish appeared for investigation, but Ranveer and Apoorva did not respond, so Maharashtra Cyber Cell has now accused them of not cooperating and is planning to take legal action against them. In fact, Ranveer was embroiled in controversy after an episode of India's Got Latent where he asked a contestant an objectionable question, which was a vulgar question related to parents' sexual relations.
Though the panel, including Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani, laughed off the comment, it triggered a massive reaction online and multiple FIRs were filed against Ranveer and the makers of the show. The controversy escalated further when the National Commission for Women (NCW) intervened and Ranveer had to tender a written apology. The Supreme Court later granted him interim protection from arrest, but called his comments obscene and accused him of being a man with a dirty mind, bringing shame to society.
Ranveer recently made a comeback with his podcast when he addressed 'Dear India' in a video statement and urged everyone to give him another chance. He said, 'We will improve the quality of our podcast and like every week, four episodes will come, which will focus on India's rich history, culture and personal growth topics.' Apoorva also returned to Instagram and said that during the controversy she received rape and death threats, which made her upset.
