It is about the year 2012. Ali Peter John, who was a journalist by profession and was also close to Rajesh Khanna, gave an interview to Rediff. Ali had said that the makers of 'Bigg Boss' wanted to take Rajesh Khanna on the show, but things did not work out. To include Rajesh Khanna in the Bigg Boss house, the producers were also going to pay him Rs 3.5 crore for each episode.
According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the producers of 'Bigg Boss' wanted to meet Rajesh Khanna and they talked to Ali to propose this. Rajesh Khanna refused to go on the show. Later, Ali tried to convince him, but he did not agree. However, a few days later, Rajesh Khanna suddenly expressed his desire to go on the show, but by then the producers had abandoned the idea and moved on.
