Initially, there were reports that Harshvardhan Rane would be seen in this film but that rumor has been denied by Ramesh Taurani. If Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are on board in 'Race 4', then after 'Race 2', Saif Ali Khan's first film to hit the screens would be this one after 10 years. Nothing has been discussed regarding the story of this movie so far.
The statement given by Taurani said, "We want to make it clear that we are currently in discussions only with Saif Ali Khan and Siddharth Malhotra for the next film (Race 4) of the Race franchise. The film is currently in the script-writing stage."
