Popular TV star will play Lakshman and share screen with Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'
Ramayana: Every day some update is coming out on Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming mythological film 'Ramayana'. Now the name of the star playing the role of Lakshman in the film has been revealed.
The famous TV actor sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming mythological film Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana', Ravi Dubey. Ravi will play the character of Lakshman in this film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Nitesh's 'Ramayana' is one of the most awaited Hindi films of the coming years.
In a recent interview, Ravi Dubey revealed his participation in the film and spoke openly about working with Ranbir Kapoor. Confirming his role in 'Ramayana', Dubey said, 'I am playing the character of Lakshman in the film. I have finally got permission from the producers to reveal it.'
Ravi Dubey said, 'I did not talk about it for so long because I did not want to make an irresponsible statement and ruin Namit (Malhotra) and Nitesh sir's plan to reveal the cast.' He further added, 'It is an honor and responsibility to play the character of Laxman. His devotion to his brother Ram and his values are qualities that I deeply admire.'
Ravi Dubey said about sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, "He is kind, warm he is the most impeccable professional I have ever met. The first time I had worked with a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor. He is kind, empathetic, and respectful to everyone." Earlier, in an interview, casting director Mukesh Chhabra shared that finding a perfect actor to play Laxman was not an easy task.
Ranbir Kapoor will play the lead role of Lord Ram in 'Ramayana' while Pallavi will be playing Sita. On the other hand, there are reports that superstar Yash is going to play Raavan in the film. The movie will be released in two instalments out of which Part 1 will hit in 2026 and the second part will be released in the year 2027. It is also said that Sunny Deol can play the character of Lord Hanuman but all these things have been claimed so far by the media only and the actor and makers have not said anything about it.
