Passport of Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani refused till investigation is completed by Supreme Court
Ranveer Allahbadia: The Supreme Court has rejected the petition filed by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia seeking release of his passport.

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on Tuesday filed a petition in the Supreme Court in which he sought to maintain decency in his show intact. Ranveer sought his passport back. He stated that he has to go abroad in connection with several interviews and has to attend several meetings. Ranveer pleaded that his livelihood will be affected due to this. But the court rejected his petition saying that if he goes abroad, the probe will be affected.
Other than Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani also approached the court with a request to return his passport but the apex court dismissed his petition too.
The bench said that if Allahbadia goes abroad, it will affect the investigation. Also asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the Maharashtra and Assam governments, about the time frame for completing the investigation. Tushar Mehta expressed the possibility of completing the investigation in two weeks. The bench said that it would consider Allahbadia's request to issue a passport after two weeks.
Ranveer, who was embroiled in a controversy over obscene and controversial statements in 'India Got Latent', was allowed by the Supreme Court on March 3 to resume his podcast 'The Ranveer Show'. He got this permission on the condition of maintaining morality and decency and making it suitable for audiences of all ages.
Ranveer Allahbadia had made obscene comments about parents on comedian Samay Raina's YouTube show 'India's Got Latent'. After which a case was registered against him. On February 18, the Supreme Court granted interim protection from arrest to Allahbadia, while reprimanding him for calling his comments obscene and his mind dirty.
