On the theme, 'Youth and Film Heritage'
Jaipur : OTT has brought back film industry to life. Many new actors are getting opportunities to showcase their talent, especially actors who have trained in theatre. Many actors, who were not getting opportunities earlier are able to tap into the film industry via OTT platforms. We cannot curse OTT, it has given industry new trends. This was stated by Director and Actor, Tinnu Anand at the 10th Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) 2024, on the theme, 'Youth and Film Heritage'. He was in conversation with Poet and Publicist, Jagdeep Singh.
Tinnu Anand also talked about the difference he felt in Southern and Bollywood filmmaking. He said that he noticed more discipline when it comes to filmmaking in South. Producers and directors are more humble and respectful too, he said.
The director also shared his anecdotes while he was working under the master filmmaker, Satyajit Ray. He said that Ray was a great director and he learnt a lot while working under him. He would work with utter precision and exactly knew what he wanted on sets. Whatever I learnt from him was applied in my own filmmaking, he said.
Recalling his young days, Tinnu Anand said that he has special connection to Rajasthan because he studied at Mayo College. He said that he got to learn immense discipline from his school, which paved the way into his work as well.
