Oscar Academy had to apologize after the protest of the people; Know what is the whole matter

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) reacted to the incident last Wednesday, but without mentioning Hamdan Ballal specifically. Due to this, an investigation was launched into it. After this statement, the Academy was strongly criticized by about 600 of its members. The letter was signed by Mark Ruffalo, Javier Bardem, Olivia Coleman, Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Thompson, Penelope Cruz, and Richard Gere. Apart from this, journalist and co-director of 'No Other Land' Yuval Abraham also strongly criticized the reaction of the Academy and said that this was silence on Hamdan's attack. The letter published by the members said that attacking Ballal is not just an attack on him, but an attack on all those who try to tell the truth.

The Academy said in a statement last Friday that it regrets that it could not name Ballal and the film. Along with this, he said that he apologizes to Ballal and all the artists who did not get support from his previous statements. The Academy also clarified that it condemns any kind of violence in the world.

Recently, 'No Other Land' won the Oscar Award for Documentary Feature Film. This documentary film was much discussed at the 97th Oscar Awards held in Los Angeles. After this, the co-director of the film, Hamdan Ballal, was attacked by Jews living in the West Bank and was arrested by the Israeli army. However, he has now been released. After being released, Ballal said that those people were attacking him in a specific way.
