Manoj Bajpayee told about the challenge and injuries he had during the shooting of 'Dispatch'
Manoj Bajpayee: Manoj Bajpayee is in the news for his upcoming film 'Dispatch'. Recently, he made a disclosure about this film and said that he was injured during the shooting of the film.
The International Film Festival of India 2024 started in Goa, and Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee was also seen. The actor shared his views on acting and current issues in the film industry. Apart from this, his upcoming film 'Dispatch' also premiered at this festival. While talking about the film, the actor spoke about the areas he wants to explore as an actor. Along with this, he also mentioned getting injured during the shooting.
During an interview with PTI, Manoj Bajpayee said, “This film explores both the inner and outer world of a journalist. In trying to navigate both these worlds, my legs would sometimes go sideways and in all this, I injured my knee. It is still healing." In the film, Manoj Bajpayee plays an investigative journalist who is working overtime to uncover a major financial scam.
The actor further added, "It was a very unique and real script. This film was very helpful in my growth as an actor." Dispatch is directed by Kanu Behl. Apart from this, he has also written it with Ishani Banerjee. It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP Movies. Shahana Gosemi and Archita Agarwal will also be seen in the film. On the challenge faced while making the film, Bajpayee said, “The way he and Ishani had written the script, no location was being repeated. It was a different kind of production challenge. We all got infected during the delta wave of Covid, then we came back to start shooting."
The teaser of 'Dispatch' was dropped recently. It opens with breaking window panes of Joey's, played by Manoj Bajpayee, flat. He runs to a corner to find that large stones are being hurled at his windows. Moments later, comes the call from a private number, asking him to hold the investigation. Unfazed by the threats, Joey continues his search for the truth and true story.
