Directed by Barry Jenkins, 'Mufasa: The Lion King' is set to hit theaters on December 20. The film depicts the original story of Mufasa. Actor Mahesh Babu's giving his voice to Mufasa has been an incredible and memorable experience personally. Posting on social media, Mahesh Babu wrote, "Voicing Mufasa has been an incredible experience that I’ll always hold close to my heart. I hope you experience the same joy watching Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King as I did."

In the Hindi version of 'Mufasa: The Lion King', Pumbaa is a funny character, voiced by Sanjay Mishra. Shreyas Talpade has given the voice of Timon, the friend of Pumbaa. The characters Pumbaa and Timon are very close friends of Simba. Makrand Deshpande has given his strong voice to the character of Rafiki. Miang Chang has given the voice of Taka.
