Kritika Kamra will play the female lead role with Vijay Varma in the upcoming show, Matka King

Kritika Kamra is an Indian television actress known for playing Arohi Sharma in Kitani Mohabbat Hai and many other serials. Based on the life of Ratan Khatri, Matka King is set in the 1960s, which changed the gambling form of Matka into a huge racket. 

The shoot will take place in the months of July, August, and September in Mumbai. Kritika, addressing the media, quoted, 'My character played a significant role in the evolution of Matka in the 1970s and 1980s in Mumbai'. Alongside Vijay's character, Matka King and Kritika join him. 

The actress also stated that 'betting has lots of ups and downs, which change the journey of the show like a thriller, but it's an evolution story, a drama. On her previous show, 'Bombay  Meri Jaan's Habiba, the actor says, 'Although this is the same era and Mumbai, this show is a different milieu altogether, and my character is nothing like Habiba'. 

The story of 'Matka King' is filled with rich cultural history, a project that draws inspiration from such a significant aspect of India's past, says Kritika, who shared that she is excited to witness the audience reaction on the same.
