Ajay Devgan has suggested adding more action scenes to the upcoming horror film 'Maa', which is being produced by him. According to reports, the decision reportedly has been taken after watching the initial footage of the film featuring his wife Kajol in a horror role for the first time. Although reports in May claimed filming was complete, director Vishal Furia now preparing for a five-day shoot in Mumbai next month to make these changes.

From the very beginning, Ajay Devgan has been attached to 'Maa'. There have been reports that when writer Saiwyn Quadras narrated the story to him, Ajay liked it and gave it momentum. After having watched a rough cut of the upcoming film, Ajay Devgan suggested a few changes in developing the story. It is said that Ajay gave some inputs to Vishal Furia to take the story ahead.

Apart from that, there came 'Maa', which is set in Chandanpur, West Bengal. The story is about a mother who fights to save her daughter from the clutches of supernatural forces. Ajay says that he felt there was more emotional depth that needed to be added to the film and suggested a few emotional moments to make audiences connect more with the mother-daughter story. He then also suggested some more action scenes to which Vishal Furia immediately agreed to add.

Action director RP Yadav has joined Ajay Devgn in 'Tanhaji' and 'Shaitan'. This time, the responsibility to make the action in 'Maa' more engaging. According to the reports, 'Maa' is mainly an emotion-based story, its action should be relevant and realistic. While keeping this in mind, R.P. Yadav and Vishal Furia are working on new scenes.
