Kailash Kher said, 'Mahakumbh is a historic festival. It presents the essence of Sanatan culture. I am extremely honored to perform for the devotees at Sangam soon. Mahakumbh reflects the true cultural and spiritual power of India.' He will also take a holy bath at Sangam. Urging people to attend the Maha Kumbh, Kher said, "Everyone should go to the Maha Kumbh. They will get to learn a lot about Hindu culture there."

Recently, folk singer Malini Awasthi took a holy dip at Sangam. On attending the Maha Kumbh on Makar Sankranti, Malini Awasthi said, "On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, when we all took a holy dip at Sangam, the feeling was amazing. In such cold weather when people do not come out of their blankets, children and the elderly all showed immense enthusiasm by taking a dip in the Triveni. The management of the entire event was very good."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also congratulated all the devotees who participated in the first Amrit Snan. In a post on Instagram, CM Yogi described this holy event as living proof of India's Sanatan culture and faith. He said, "This is a living form of our Sanatan culture and faith. Today, on the auspicious occasion of the great festival of folk faith 'Makar Sankranti', congratulations to all the devotees who earned virtue by taking the first Amrit bath at the Triveni Sangam in Mahakumbh-2025, Prayagraj.'

The Mahakumbh, which began on January 13, will continue till February 26. The next major bathing dates include January 29 (Mauni Amavasya - second royal bath), February 3 (Basant Panchami - third royal bath), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivratri).
