I enjoy playing with the variations in my character: Aalisha Panwar on Nath- Krishna aur Gauri ki Kahani

Aalisha Panwar, who is currently seen as Gauri in Nath-Krishna aur Gauri ki Kahani, says her character started as a carefree, bubbly, and innocent girl, who changed due to certain circumstances. But she said that she enjoys playing with the variations she gets to portray.

She said, “This girl was so innocent, so pure-hearted, and so naive. She wanted to be an actress and was in college, and all those things made it unimaginable at that time for the audience to think that this girl could someday be the villain or turn into a gray shade. But then, slowly, as the situation changed, she had to become stronger, more fearless, and more mindful.”

“She did something for her loved ones and to take revenge for her loved ones, and she stood up for herself. How she started being strong, how she started fighting for herself, and then even between these changes, she became a little aggressive, then turned into a mother, and showed motherhood, and then again turned fully positive. All those variations coming into this character, I enjoy playing them because, as an actor, I love playing variations. There are times when I'm bubbly and cheerful as Gauri, there are times when I'm fully negative as Gauri, and there are times when I'm fully positive and innocent as Gauri. So, I enjoy doing that,” she added.

Speaking of her most memorable moment from the set, she said it would be when the production house celebrated her birthday on the set, and even invited her family members. “The production house and the whole unit celebrated my birthday so nicely and beautifully on set. Big, huge banners were made with my pictures and birthday wishes, and they were put up there. Beautiful cakes were brought in, and the whole media was there. The entire production house, the whole team, and my family were also invited,” she said.

“My whole family was there with me—my mom, dad, and my sister. So, we all collectively cut my cake in front of everyone, and I celebrated my birthday really nicely, followed by a beautiful lunch organized by them. This was a very special moment for me, celebrating my birthday with both my on-screen family and off-screen family together for the very first time. It was special!” she added.

Aalisha is from Himachal Pradesh, and though she can adjust to the cold, the heat becomes a problem for her. However, she mentioned that over the course of her stay in Mumbai, she had gotten used to it.

“Sometimes when we are shooting, we are out in the direct sun, and between shots, we cannot have the AC on or fans on, so we really need to be prepared to beat the heat. There are things that I personally follow, like always applying sunscreen, not only on my face but all over my exposed skin. I tend to get sunburned badly, so I try to stay hydrated as much as possible by drinking lots of water. There are times when plain water isn't enough, so I try to ask for nimbu pani, or electrolytes, to consume more water. I try to stand in front of a fan or find shaded spots between shots during little breaks, so that I don't get a heat stroke. I try to ensure a few little things, like having more citrus fruits and such,” she concluded.
