Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's political thriller Game Changer has landed in controversy, as a group of background actors have filed a police complaint over alleged non-payment of wages. According to reports, several extras who worked on the film have alleged that they were not paid for their time and efforts during the shoot. The report suggests that 350 background actors are still to receive payments of Rs 1200 as of the end of February.

A police complaint was filed against the production unit responsible for managing the payments of the extras after the non-payment. Director Shankar and producer Dil Raju have been urged to intervene and ensure that their dues are paid.

The cast is said to have complained to the Guntur police station, alleging the Game Changer team did not pay them their salary. As per an actor named Tarun, 350 extras who were taken to Hyderabad to shoot for Game Changer by co-director Swarga Siva, who promised them to receive Rs 1200, have complained. The extras claim to have never received their salary. The extras have approached director Shankar and producer Dil Raju to clear their salary and demanded action against Siva on charges of cheating.

Neither the producers of the film, nor their representative, have made any official remark on the grievance. Game Changer director Shankar recently found himself in a dilemma with ED (Enforcement Directorate) when their property amounting to around Rs 10.11 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, was attached.
