'Fauja' actor Pavan Malhotra overjoyed after winning National Award, said- it doubles the pride
Pavan Malhotra: Actor Pawan Malhotra, who won the National Award for the film Fauja at the 70th National Film Awards, has shared his experiences. He has described receiving the award as a pat on the back.
Haryanvi film 'Fauja' has also won the award at the 70th National Film Awards. Actor Pawan Malhotra has received the Best Supporting Actor award for this film. He describes himself as a staunch fan of the Indian Army.
Actor Pawan says, 'I am thrilled to receive the award for a film based on the army.' The actor said, 'For me, the uniform is a hero and I do not allow anyone to insult it. Therefore, it is a matter of pride for me to play a role in a film praising the army, and getting a National Award for this doubles that pride. Fauja is based on a family from Haryana, whose family members have been serving in the army for a long time.
This is not the first National Award that actor Pawan has won. Fakir was his first Hindi movie and it won him a National Award in 1998. For the National Award, he says, “It is a huge thing yaar; it's like somebody patting you on your back.” Its literally telling that Shimplate will be giving you national coverage. The actor said, When I went to receive the award last time I was just thinking how will greet President. So when I reached the stage and saw that army officer standing behind the president my mouth automatically started shouting Jai Hind.
Actor Pawan Malhotra has done many films like 'Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro', 'Bagh Bahadur', and 'Children of War'. Apart from this, he has also done hit films like 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'Jab We Met', and 'Mubarakan'. Pawan calls the Indian Army the bravest army in the world.
