Hema Malini has paid tribute to mother Jaya Chakraborty in her new Instagram post. The veteran actress shared two pictures on the occasion of her mother's birth anniversary. In the first picture, the mother-daughter duo is seen posing together in beautiful saris. The second frame has a black-and-white picture of Jaya Chakraborty. Along with this, the actress has also shared an emotional note.

Sharing the post, Hema Malini wrote, "It is that day of the year closest to my heart! My darling mother’s birthday which I never fail to celebrate, thanking her for all that she’s done for me. Her amazing personality and the rapport she was able to create with all she met, both in the industry and beyond, is what shaped my career and made me what I am Thank you Amma I love you."

Reacting to this post, Hema Malini's daughter Esha Deol has also showered love on the picture of her mother and grandmother. Jaya Chakraborty was a producer and costume designer by profession. She was known for her work in films like Dream Girl (1977), Swami (1977) and Dillagi (1978). She died in 2004.

It is known that Hema Malini was last seen as Rukmini in the 2020 film 'Shimla Mirchi'. Fans loved the actress' character. Directed by Ramesh Sippy, the film starred Rajkumar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. Shakti Kapoor, Kiran Juneja, Kanwaljit Singh, and Kamlesh Gill also played important roles in the film.
