His career had a turning point after his debut in Ek Chhotisi Love Story, continuing with Jism and Lakshya. He is now 51 years old and has been a part of renowned reality shows including Khatron Ke Khiladi 5, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7. He was also awarded the FOI Online Awards and Gold Awards.

Ranvir Shorey once quoted, 'I am an actor; I did my first film in 1999. If I had work, why would I be here today'? Answering to this, Divya stated that 'here we have a lot of flavors of the season'. She also added, 'I am sure he refuses a lot of work too because he is such a fabulous actor'. Ranvir Shorey never wanted to be a hero or be the leading man who is doing the same thing in every film.
