Adar Poonawala's Serene Productions is going to purchase a 50% share in Dharma Productions, owned by Karan Johar. This information was provided by the company itself today, October 21. According to Patrika, this deal will cost Rs 1,000 crore. Adar Poonawala and Karan Johar have expressed their joy at this agreement.
After this agreement between Adar Poonawala and Karan Johar, Karan will own half of Dharma Productions. At the moment, Karan owns 90.7% of Dharma, while his mother Hiroo owns 9.24%. Karan Johar will continue to serve as the company's executive chairman and Apoorva Mehta as its CEO irrespective of this partnership with Adar Poonawala.
Adar Poonawalla, the chief of Serum Institute of India leading company making the corona vaccine and a billionaire businessman, has responded with glee over buying 50 percent of Dharma Productions.
