Day 8 box office report for Bad Newz: Vicky Kaushal's flick targets Rs 50 crore
The box office performance of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk's "Bad Newz" has not changed. Following a respectable opening week, the movie is already approaching the Rs 50 crore milestone.
On its first day of release, "Bad Newz" brought in Rs 8.50 crore at the box office. It made Rs 42.85 crore before the end of the first week. As the movie headed into its second week, it brought in Rs 2.15 crore. As of right now, the film has earned a total of Rs 45 crore. In the Hindi belt, the overall occupancy rate was 17.74 percent.
Mixed reviews greeted "Bad Newz" at release. Here's an extract from our review: "After using it for a while, 'Bad Newz' becomes less shiny, much like an Instagram filter. There's nothing to bite into, but the surface appears shiny and shimmering. The writing is dull and superficial. The blows never connect. Even in its attempts at satire and parody, the jokes in the movie fall flat before they even get off the ground. A few of the lines seem like they may have come from an audition for a prime-time TV comedy competition."
In "Bad Newz," which was once called "Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam," Vicky, Triptii, and Ammy collaborated for the first time. Dharma Productions, led by Karan Johar, is supporting the movie.
Neha Dhupia is one of the film's stars, directed by Anand Tiwari. It released on July 19.
