Darshan Thoogudeepa's wife and family members reached the jail to meet him; Bail request was rejected

The relatives of South Indian star Darshan Thoogudeepa arrived at the jail to see him over the murder case of Renukaswamy. On Friday morning, actor Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi and other family members met him in Bellary jail. On Monday, October 14, a Bengaluru civil court denied Darshan and Pavitra Gowda's request for bail. Both are charged with Renukaswamy's murder. On June 9, his body was discovered at Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru.
The City Civil Court granted bail to Deepak, one of the defendants in the case, but Darshan and Pavitra Gowda's bail request was denied. On Tuesday, October 8, the Bangalore Sessions Court postponed making a decision about actor Darshan's bail request in a murder case.
Matters pertaining to the bail plea of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, Pavitra Gowda, and 11 other persons trapped in the Renukaswamy murder case commenced. During the hearing before Judge Jaishankar, the advocates appearing for the other accused pressed their arguments, whereas the advocates for Darshan did not press their arguments during the hearing. After this, the court decided to reserve its order until October 9, 2024.
In this case, earlier, the 57th Magistrate Court of Bengaluru had adjourned the bail hearing of actor Darshan till September 27, while that of Gowda was adjourned till September 25. Darshan had filed his bail plea on September 21. As part of the Renukaswamy case, a 33-year-old resident of Chitradurga was murdered and found dead in Kamakshipalya in Bengaluru on June 9.
