Actually, in the film 'Amaran' of Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan, there is a scene where actress Sai Pallavi writes her phone number on a piece of paper and throws it at the hero. That number actually belongs to Vageesan, a student from Chennai in real life. People started calling the number shown in the film thinking it to be Sai's number. Initially, he did not know the reason and muted his phone, but the number of calls manifold, after which Vageesan raised the issue on social media, tagging the film's director Rajkumar Periyasamy, and lead actor Sivakarthikeyan, and demanding a solution.
Vageesan later sent a legal notice for the "untold difficulties and mental agony" caused by the scene when there was no response to his requests. He has demanded the removal of his phone number from the film immediately. He said, "I do not want to change my phone number due to this issue as it is linked to my Aadhaar, bank cards, and other educational platforms."
Talking about the performance of 'Amaran', this film was released in October this year. According to the report of SaccNilk, the film collected a total of 252 crores. Now, it has been released on OTT. The film is streaming on Netflix from 5 December.
