South's famous actor and social media star Bijli Ramesh died in Chennai on Monday night at around 9.45 pm. He was battling illness for a long time. He said goodbye to this world on August 26, 2024, at the age of 46. The actor's last rites will be held near MGR Nagar in Chennai at around five o'clock this evening. He was undergoing treatment for liver-related problems. A few months ago, his family members appealed to his colleagues for financial help for his treatment.

Bijili Ramesh came into prominence when he acted in a prank video of a YouTube-based sketch group. The videos went viral; he emerged as a hit in pop culture during 2018. During 2018, he was cast for a special promotional song for Nayanthara and director Nelson Dilipkumar's 'Kolamavu Kokila'. Eventually, he made his acting debut in Tamil cinema. He has acted to date in films such as Hip Hop Adi's 'Natpe Thunai', Amala Paul's 'Aadai', Jyothika's 'Ponmagal Vandhal' and Jayam Ravi.

Some of the participants in television's cooking-based reality show 'Cookoo with Comali' are Ramesh Vijay and Bijili Ramesh, who call themselves fans of Rajinikanth. In his acting career, Bijli Ramesh has mostly performed in comedy roles. But he is bedridden for the last few months due to his illness.

In many interviews, Bijli Ramesh had said that he was an alcoholic due to which he was facing a lot of troubles in life. He advised people to stay away from alcohol addiction and take care of health. Soon after the news about Bijli Ramesh's death came out, condolences started pouring in on the social media. Many stars also paid him tribute.
