Big accident during the shooting of Arjun and Bhumi's song, the roof collapsed with a thud

In a big accident at the Imperial Palace of Royal Palms in Mumbai, the shooting of the song of the film 'Mere Husband Ki Biwi' was done, where the roof fell on the film set. At the time of the accident, actors Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Jackie Bhagnani along with the director Mudassar Aziz were present on the sets. No actor or crew member was seriously injured in this accident.

Ashok Dubey of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWISE), speaking to E-Times says, "The accident happened due to the vibration that took place because of the loud sound during the song shoot. He said, "The song was being shot at the Imperial Palace of Royal Palms when suddenly the roof of the set collapsed The set collapsed and Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Bhagnani, and Mudassar Aziz were injured. Since the shooting was going on for a long time, the set started shaking due to the vibrations caused by the loud sound and this accident happened.

Vijay Ganguly, who was working on the song of this film, expressed his concern about the safety of the shooting locations of the film. He said, "The shoot went well on the first day. On the second day too everything was normal but at around 6 pm during a shot suddenly the roof collapsed. We were on the monitor and suddenly pieces of the roof started falling. Luckily it fell in pieces and we had space to escape. If the whole roof had collapsed it could have been quite dangerous, but still many people have been injured. These old locations are often used for shooting. Production companies surely check the safety measures. However, many times, the safety of the shooting location is not properly verified.

Vijay also informed that director Mudassar Aziz was injured in this accident, and DOP Manu Anand's thumb was fractured. Vijay himself suffered injuries in the elbow and head. He said that our camera attendant was also injured and he suffered a spinal injury. He stressed that safety standards should be strictly followed before shooting at old and unsafe locations.
