Now recently, in Vishal Malhotra's podcast, Anu Malik said that he composed the track for the film overnight and half of the music was composed when he was recording it in the studio. Anu Malik said, "I was asked for a romantic track and I was very excited because I was offered a film and I was looking for work. I came out of a party in the hall and I started running towards the sea shore and while running I started humming, 'Baazigar o baazigar, tu hai bada jadugar.'"
He further spoke about his financial situation at that time. The singer said, "I went to my wife and we were in a hand-to-mouth situation, there was no work, no money. Anu Malik also stated that his desire to work drove him to the office late at night to express his creativity, which resulted in him producing the best work of his time.
