R.K. Laxman Sir is one of the true Indian icons who gave expression to the common man with his distinctive art. He made the common man a witness to time, life, and politics, and I am also a big fan of his creations. His cartoons could show exactly the emotions of millions of people of the country.

Ayushmann Khurrana said, "R.K.Laxman's work influenced me, too, because, since school and college days, issues of common people made me take to performing street plays." He further stated, "I have read some of his works and always admired the meaning and interpretation of his paintings. Truly a magnificent lifetime, touching the lives of so many people- mine included". Even in choosing what films to work on, I tried to represent the people of India and their feelings.
