Ashutosh Gowariker appointed chairman of international jury, said- feel honoured
IFFI 2024: Film producer-director Ashutosh Gowariker has been appointed chairman of the international jury for the 2024 International Film Festival of India (IFFI). He has expressed happiness over this.
Ashutosh Gowariker, a well-known Producer-director is famous for films like 'Jodhaa Akbar', 'Lagaan' and 'Swades'. He has been appointed chairman of the international jury for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which is going to be held in Goa this month. According to news agency PTI, Ashutosh Gowariker expressed happiness over his appointment and said that he feels honored.
The International Film Festival of India will be held in Goa from 20 to 28 November. Ashutosh Gowariker said in a statement, 'Cinema is constantly evolving with time and there is no better place than a film festival to see this development. The International Film Festival of India symbolizes this change and I am honored to be a part of it'.
Ashutosh Gowariker further added, 'I would like to thank the festival's director Shekhar Kapur, and the IFFI and NFDC team for thinking of me to chair this year's international jury. It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to participate and immerse myself in the world of cinema'.
