Tamil actor Vishal has shared his expectations regarding the Union Budget 2024. He has also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the issue of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Tamil Nadu. Speaking to media persons, the actor said, "I request the PM to look into GST in Tamil Nadu, as Tamil Nadu is the only state to collect double taxation."

He requested the Prime Minister, "I had faith in you when you talked about 'one tax, one nation', but why is this happening only in Tamil Nadu? Why is no one taking this matter seriously? This is really affecting the film industry. Paying eight percent more local body tax is like a big burden for all the producers."

He said that the film industry is going through a bad phase. This year is one of the worst years for the film industry. This pain is not visible outside because they (producers) keep it to themselves and do not speak about their losses. Please give everyone a chance to live a normal life. We are not demanding a luxury life. The budget session of Parliament will begin on July 22 and this session may end on August 12.

Talking about the work front, Vishal was last seen on the big screen in Ratnam. In this 34th film of his, he was seen doing strong action. Talking about his upcoming project, he will soon be seen in a film named Madha Gaja Raj and Sanghamitra.
