The actor established his name in both television and movies. He showcased his acting abilities in 'RK Laxman Ki Duniya', 'Jago Mohan Pyare', 'Yam Hain Hum', 'Badi Door Se Aaye Hain', 'The Kapil Sharma Show', and several Marathi serials and significant comedy series. Other than appearing on TV shows, he has also worked in Hindi and Marathi films, where he became a favourite of the audience with his comedy and comic timing.

It was not that the actor does not create a mark; he does so more in the comic genre. Reports quote that in an interview, given to Bombay Times in July last year, the actor had claimed it was easy for him to accept cancer diagnosis. He had then said, 'I was mentally prepared that something was wrong with me. Despite maintaining a positive attitude, not being able to work led to "sleepless nights".'. It is not that negative thoughts did not come in my mind. I had to do many sleepless nights over the thought of when I would return to work. Income stopped while expenses started-the cost of cancer treatment is pretty high.

In the same interview, the actor had also spoken about how mediclaim helped him to deal with the financial stress. He said, 'Mediclaim saved me partially along with my savings otherwise it would have been very difficult. I never felt depressed because my family never treated me like a patient.
