Actor-filmmaker Anant Mahadevan recalled and shared an incident related to Ranbir Kapoor and the late Bollywood superstar Rishi Kapoor. Anant praised the late actor and described him as an honest person. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Anant Mahajevan said that Rishi Kapoor tried every possible way to stop his son Ranbir Kapoor from doing a film. During this time Rishi Kapoor even told the directors that their film would flop.
In the interview, Anant Mahadevan said, "He is an honest person. I will not name the film or the filmmaker, but Rishi Kapoor was angry. He was constantly saying that he tried very hard to stop Ranbir from doing this film, but he did not listen to anything." He further revealed that Rishi Kapoor had no qualms in telling filmmakers on their faces that their films would flop. There is no point in making it.
