Celine Dion made her much-awaited comeback and finally took the stage at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 after huge anticipation among fans. Celine Dion concluded the opening ceremony by singing the lyrics of L'Hymne à l'amour on Friday, July 26.

The legendary crooner took to the stage following her stiff person syndrome diagnosis in December 2022. Dion rolled up to the affair in a crystal dress as she performed against the glittering Eiffel Tower to the accompaniment of only a piano.

Standing on the balcony of the Eiffel Tower, Celine gave a tribute to French singer Edith Piaf. She sang this song of Edith with all the emotions as she did 75 years ago. This song speaks of the love and tragic end of French Algerian boxers Marcel Sardan and, Edith Piaf. Edith wrote this song in the name of her love.

In December 2022, Celine announced that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome. According to medics, this illness leads to an extremely rare syndrome that usually affects a person's central nervous system, majorly the brain and the spinal cord. After publicly disclosing her sickness, the artist canceled performances among her fans and other listeners. Celine Dion last did a concert performance in July of 2019 and made her comeback at the Paris Olympics after five years.
